In Service Practical Training

Pilot Crushtec International has earned an outstanding reputation at higher education institutions, as a facility that provides the opportunity for students to complete their practical training in engineering studies.

This initiative’s aim is not only to feed the industry skills pool but also to find the best possible recruits, to fill positions at Pilot Crushtec in the future and to promote social and community development.

We offer both P1 and P2 training, as well as field service experience. Students have to be consistently good performers and provide a letter of recommendation from their higher education facility to be considered for the program. Training requires time and effort on the part of our full-time employees who guide, teach and support these students, so competition to fill the various positions available is huge among engineering students.

CURRENT VACANCY:
Position: Sales Engineer (Local)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / KPA’S SALES

  • Follow up on sales leads provided by Pilot Crushtec International
  • Business development of new clients
  • Cold canvassing in designated areas
  • Liaising with new and existing clients
  • Providing after sales services to new and existing clients
  • Sales presentations to clients
  • Cultivate spares sales with new and existing customers
  • Building relationships with existing clients
  • Weekly sales report
  • Prepare quotations when required
  • Provide customers with technical solutions
  • Assist customers with process simulation using BRUNO

TECHNICAL

  • Commissioning of new equipment when required
  • Minor repairs on existing equipment where possible
  • Ongoing assessment of existing machines and report back to customer
  • Quotations according to the set standard to potential and existing clients

FINANCIAL/BUDGET

  • Sales Targets
  • Sales Budgets

INTERNAL PROCESSES/POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  • Adhere to all process, policies and procedures in line with ISO requirements
  • Adhere to all processes, policies and procedures relevant to the company and your department
  • Detailed knowledge of processes, policies and procedures.
  • Follow-through and complete all corrective actions relating to processes, policies and procedures

PROBLEM SOLVING

  • 100% of all problems to be resolved effectively, pushing upwards every 24 hours, if required to reach resolution
  • Always present solutions rather than problems
  • Implement preventative action to ensure a problem does not occur again
  • Obtain information from other parties by being resourceful to assist in answering a problem before asking your manager

REPORTING

  • Compilation of all ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Compilation of all daily, weekly and monthly statistical information relating to the ambit of your job profile
  • Daily activity reporting on CANVAS

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years in a relevant technical field
  • Previous experience in sales, business development
  • Commercial and financial understanding
  • Computer literate, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project and other systems
