Detailed Description

Lokotrack® ST2.8™ mobile scalping screen makes the scalping of sticky recycling material look easy. The design principle has been simple: to optimise capacity in demanding scalping and to minimise unprofitable time on site.

Features

The stickier the feed material the more throw needed in the scalping screen. Lokotrack® ST2.8™ has the biggest eccentric throw on the market to make it the best unit for the screening of top soil, demolition waste and river gravel. Additionally, ST2.8 can be fine-tuned even for sand applications. The clearance under the screen has been increased by 20% and the bottom deck area is larger compared with ST272™.

In multi-stage crushing processes, the removal of fines is easy with a two-way split option. This feature combines material flow from the first and second deck to the main conveyor and maximises the capacity and efficiency of the crushing process. Belt feeder and chevron belts are standard features of Lokotrack ST2.8.

Lokotrack ST2.8 is ready for screening in minutes thanks to hydraulically operated conveyors and screen including a patent pending feeder mechanism. Lokotrack ST2.8 is 25% lighter than similar machines. Because the weight is lower, transportation is easier. The fuel-efficient scalping process can be started with safe push buttons or by the optional Metso IC™ process control system.

Process overview

Lokotrack ST2.8 is used as primary scalper in top soil and natural sand applications. It is suitable in multistage crushing processes to split the products eg. between secondary and primary crusher. With two way split the option it is a great unit in between of jaw and cone crusher. Depending on applications plate grizzlies, fingers, punch plates or wire meshes can be used on the top deck.

How it works

Material is fed by the excavator, wheel loader or conveyor. The feeder lifts material to the two deck screen which then separates material to oversize and side conveyors. With two-way split option top and bottom deck material can be combined to the oversize conveyor (fines removal).

RapidScreen

The Pilot RapidScreen system is a unique, versatile, self cleaning screening media for vibrating screens to provide high capacity separation in all conditions and diverse applications. The RapidScreen system is easy to fit and ready to run, designed to fit any inclined screen for screening wet, sticky or abrasive materials.

At A Glance

Quick replacement time for worn rod blocks:
• Step 1: Simply release the rod block from the rod block holder by un-tightening 3 or 4 bolts. Fit a new rod block and tighten the bolts.
• Step 2: Using a new steel pin knock the worn pin out of the rod block holder until the new pin is in position.
• Replace only worn pins, no need to replace an entire mesh screen
• Low cost of replacement pins and rod blocks
• Self-cleaning – no cross wires, nothing for tough, sticky, dirty material to get blocked on
• Rod blocks with varying aperture sizes can be stocked and fitted quickly to suit changing product size requirements
• Reduced downtime – replace only worn areas using simple tools
• Divagating action of the pins shakes off dirt, keeping the deck clean at all times
• No pegging, so no blocked screens

Detailed Description

This unique product consists of an assembly of cascading pins mounted into clamping blocks (rod blocks) fitted into cross members (rod block holders). This assembly is designed to fit almost all inclined vibrating screens to separate wet, sticky and tough to screen materials. This versatile screening media provides huge increases in throughput capacity.

Replaceable steel pins are fitted into steel or HDPE rod blocks at apertures to suit requirements. These rod blocks are then fitted into cross members or rod block holders and are quickly and easily locked into position. The cross members or rod block holders are bolted into an assembly which is then fitted into the inclined vibrating screen. The cross members or rod block holders can be independently adjusted to increase or decrease the incline angle of the steel pins thereby speeding up or slowing down the flow of material over the screen. The cross members or rod block holders are fitted at positions so that the pins overlap each other to create a cascading effect.

Nordtrack S2.11 is a track-mounted, self-propelled diesel engine powered mobile scalping screen. Designed to provide high production levels and heavy-duty scalping applications capable of operating as a standalone unit, producing finished product, or as a primary scalping component.

The Metso Nordtrack S2.11 delivers higher outputs and a high-quality screened product with maximum efficiency.

Features
  • Belt or apron feeder option
  • 1.6m wide oversize conveyor
  • Hydraulic folding conveyors for easy transport
Process overview

The Nordtrack S2.11 is a high tonnage scalping screen designed for a wide array of scalping and screening applications.

How it works

The feed conveyor / apron feeder ensures a continuous flow of material from the hopper to the screen. Once material has passed the screen, fines and mid-sized material can either be stockpiled separately by their respective conveyors or combined into one stockpile by one conveyor. Over-sized material is stockpiled  by the wide oversize conveyor.
