Rubble Master GO! range delivers returns from recycling

Pilot Crushtec International’s relationship with Austrian crusher manufacturer Rubble Master began in 2009 when the Jet Park-based crushing and screening specialist entered into a distribution agreement to market Rubble Master products in southern Africa.

This turned out to be a farsighted move for both parties as well as local crushing and screening operators. Not only does the Rubble Master concept provide a mobile and easily operable crushing solution, it has become the product of choice for the growing band of entrepreneurs who realise that recycling is not just environmentally friendly but a rewarding, sustainable industry.

The latest sale of a Rubble Master RM100 GO! to a Durban property developer demonstrates exactly why the range has been so readily accepted by local operators.

The principle motivation for the purchase was the customer’s need to crush large volumes of construction and demolition material, performing the twin tasks of waste disposal and aggregate production in a single, cost efficient stroke. It will also be utilised to crush virgin rock on a number of sites currently under development.

Pilot Crushtec International national sales manager Nicolan Govender the RM100 GO! is currently crushing a mixture of dolerite and tillite on a site adjacent to King Shaka Airport and is already living up to its reputation as an easy to operate and highly productive piece of equipment.

“We advised our customer to initially restrict the feed size to <450mm but decided to add a quantity of >500mm material at the end of the commissioning phase, which it processed with ease.

The required product is a 0-55mm G5 sub-base material and with a constant feed supply the RM100 operating with its optional, detachable MS100 screen and an apron setting gap of 85mm is easily capable of producing in spec material at a rate of more than 150 tonnes per hour.”

Govender adds that the Rubble Master’s next project will be the production of G7 to G9 sub-base material minus the screen and believes output will significantly exceed 200 tonnes per hour in this type of application.

What sets the Rubble Master range apart though is that all products are both user and environmentally friendly.

“The name GO! signifies just how easy these machines are to transport and operate. By using the standard hand-held remote control system a single operator can offload the tracked machine from a low bed tram to its designated position on site and then reload it when the job has been completed.

Go! also describes the machine’s push button control system. The user just has to push three buttons in sequence on the control panel and the machine is activated.”

Having been originally designed and built to comply with stringent European legislation relevant to noise pollution, dust and emissions controls, the Rubble Master concept excels in both city centre and suburban areas. Not only are they used to process demolition waste but some are kept permanently on site, converting rubble from old buildings into usable material for replacement projects under construction.

Inherently mobile and versatile, the Rubble Master range is a natural selection for contractors as a wide range of materials can be processed with little or no adjustments to the machines.

Customers are successfully crushing such diverse materials as demolition waste, asphalt, dolerite, tillite, dolomite, calcrete, concrete, sandstone, coal and envirowaste for end use in road building, construction, energy creation, agricultural and waste removal applications.

The current range consists of the RM100 GO!, RM80 GO! and RM70 GO!. Each product is specifically designed to suit the individual user’s application, volumes and budget considerations.
