Pilot Crushtec International receives global Metso award
Pilot Crushtec International – the southern Africa distributor for Metso aggregate and mobile products – has been recognised by its principal for delivering exceptional levels of customer service and support at the company’s September global conference in Tampere, Finland.
The Jet Park-based crushing and screening specialist received the accolade for ‘Best New Services Distributor’, a performance Vice President Distribution AGG Business Line, Adrian Wood, describes as an achievement of note.
“We currently have a global network of more than 100 distributors, of which between 20 and 25 have been appointed over the last three years. Having gained this award after barely 16 months as a Metso distributor speaks volumes to Pilot Crushtec International’s commitment to customer satisfaction.”
Wood makes the point that this recognition is a genuine assessment of a newcomer’s worth as each global marketing region selects its own candidate. Nominations are then closely scrutinised by a judging panel made up of senior Metso personnel.
“An attribute that differentiated this distributor from its peers was that from the very outset it concentrated its efforts on being able to deliver the entire package. Pilot placed immediate emphasis not only on the sale of new machines, but the stockholding and sale of spare parts and appropriate training needs. This shows real commitment,” says Wood.
Pilot Crushtec International CEO Sandro Scherf is delighted with the award, and is especially pleased that the investment in technical personnel and training as well as a massive investment in spare and wear parts is already being recognised and awarded by Metso.
“One of our mission statements is that ‘we will provide Legendary After Sales Support” and it is very rewarding having our efforts to achieve this recognised as being world class and a leader in the Metso global distribution network in all aspects but especially in after sales support. I must emphasise that this award is the result of a team effort and everyone at Pilot Crushtec International must take credit for this success,” says Scherf.
