Unique SA-made crusher introduced to the US
The award-winning South African-made TwisterTrac mobile VSI crusher made
its debut in America during the well-attended convention of the American
Equipment Distributors (AED), held in Las Vegas, Navada, in January.
Gauteng-based Pilot Crushtec recently became a
member
of the AED, and was represented among some 3 000 delegates at the
convention. At the same time, Pilot Crushtec introduced its unique
TwisterTrac AC210 mobile VSI crusher at the CONDEX Exhibition, held at
the Las Vegas centre well known for multi-national exhibitions of
mining, quarrying and construction equipment.
According to Mr. Paul Chappel, export sales manager for Pilot Crushtec,
the company intends making inroads into the North American market, with
its focus initially on the TwisterTrac mobile VSI crusher.
.
"Our TwisterTrac mobile VSI crusher is unique in the world. Last year,
the company was proclaimed the overall winner of the first annual SA
Pro/Awards Competition, which recognizes engineering design excellence,
for the design of the TwisterTrac AC10 mobile VSI crusher and we are
considered to be a world leader in tracked mobile VSI crusher design.
AED provides us with a window of opportunity for the introduction of
this crusher into the US market," he said.
He added that, due to the versatility of the TwisterTrac mobile VSI
crusher, it may be incorporated into any mobile crushing and screening
system using mobile components manufactured in the United States, in
Europe or in the UK.
The TwisterTrac comprises a variable speed belt feeder, a Twister VS-AC
VSI crusher, a discharge conveyor and a diesel hydraulic power pack, all
mounted on a heavy-duty track undercarriage, with dual speed
configuration and 25 degree gradability.
A major feature of the TwisterTrac, with its mobile configuration, is
that the entire machine is controlled via a PLC, which automates all the
crusher's features and facilitates ongoing monitoring of all aspects of
the crusher's operation.
